Our Bus Tour From Omaha to Philly to Get out the Vote

Home » Posts » Our Bus Tour From Omaha to Philly to Get out the Vote

The Vote is Sacred Tour is traveling across the United States! We began in Omaha, Nebraska and are making our way through Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio, ending in Philadelphia on Election Day.

At each stop on this nonpartisan tour, we’re holding events that will highlight the role of diverse religious communities engaged in inspiring pro-democracy activism. We’re working to increase voter turnout among communities of faith, to spotlight the key religious freedom issues that are at stake, and to protect and uplift poll workers and all those working to ensure that our elections are safe, free and fair. We’re grateful to work with amazing partners in defense of pluralistic, vibrant, multi-faith democracy.

Watch a local ABC News report about The Vote is Sacred Tour in Omaha, read about the tour in Baptist News Global, and stay tuned for additional media coverage. You can follow daily updates on our blog and social media accounts.

Whatever happens on Election Day, we know that this work will help us in the longer-term, big picture struggle to defend our rights and values, and to achieve democracy together.

As the late great civil rights hero and congressman Rep. John Lewis said, the right to vote is precious, almost sacred. At Interfaith Alliance, we’re not taking that right for granted.
