Religious extremism threatens our democracy, our communities, and individual freedoms. We are a counterforce: challenging the dangerous ideas of Project 2025 by mobilizing people of diverse faiths and beliefs to achieve democracy together.
Join us as we build a resilient, inclusive democracy, which respects the inherent dignity of all people, affords each person the freedoms of belief and religious practice, and guarantees that all have the opportunity to thrive.

Button TextTogether, we can make a significant impact in this pivotal moment in our nation's history.
We recognize the threats of authoritarian theocracy and Christian nationalism, and know mainstream religious Americans reject these ideologies. Too often, the loudest voices don’t represent the inclusive majority, so we must speak out to make sure our voices are heard in policy debates.

Button TextWe are a religious freedom nation, not a Christian nation. As Americans who value religious freedom, we demand that Congresswoman Mary Miller do more than just delete her social media posts attacking religious freedom. We demand that she publicly apologize to the Sikh and Muslim communities.

Button TextWASHINGTON – Interfaith Alliance, a national leader in defending religious freedom and inclusive multi-faith democracy, is deeply concerned by a new I.R.S. court filing that says churches and other houses of worship can endorse political candidates to their congregations from the pulpit. This action by the Trump Administration violates the fundamental purpose and spirit of the Johnson Amendment, a decades-old ban on political campaigning and endorsement by non-profits, including houses of worship.
Last Thursday, during a rally to promote their disastrous new budget, President Trump took the stage and said: “No going to the banks and in some cases, borrowing from a fine banker, and in some cases shylocks and bad people.” Trump’s use of the word “shylocks” echoes a hundreds-of-years-old trope about hidden Jewish influences, moneylending and nefarious financial power.
