President of the Board

Judy Cross

Judy has been an activist most of her life, having been arrested marching with black college students following the death of MLK (1968), advocating for LGBTQ+, women’s, civil and human rights. She was a trainer with Add the Words and arrested 8 times. She was a member of the Ada County Human Rights Task Force until it transitioned to the current Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. Judy is Sr Deacon at Liberating Spirit Metropolitan Community Church, a member of the Steering Committee for the Interfaith Equality Coalition, and President of the Board for The Interfaith Alliance of Idaho. She was soulmate with her gay husband (a priest), mother for 3 daughters and a son, and “Momma J” for several kiddos through the years. When she has “down time” or when requested, Judy enjoys designing fresh flower, multi-element, and dried flower arrangements.
