Join us at our October events to stand up for democracy!
Democracy is in the balance. As election day approaches, we want to make sure you’re equipped to champion Interfaith Alliance’s policy priorities and oppose Christian nationalism over the next few weeks.
We are excited to offer several upcoming events to help you show up for democracy in these final weeks of the election season.
Join us October 8 at 6pm ET at our “Democracy is in the Balance” webinar. Interfaith Alliance CEO and President Rev. Paul Brandeis Raushenbush and Organizing and Elections Strategist Adam Friedman will lead the session. We will learn what’s at stake in 2024, how we are seeing Christian nationalist messaging in this year’s election narratives, and how we can flip the script and advocate as faith voices on the issues that matter.
We are also proud to announce that starting on October 15th, Interfaith Alliance will be hosting text banking shifts every Tuesday and Thursday until election day. You can help turn out the vote in Pennsylvania and Florida!
Join us for a quick training and text banking shift between 10/15 and 10/24 or sign up for our crucial down-to-the-wire text banking the last week before the election! You’ll send nonpartisan messages alongside a community modeling the democracy we fight for.
We will be getting out the vote in Pennsylvania's 8th district and advocating against Florida Amendment 1, which would make school board elections partisan, potentially disenfranchising millions of voters.

Interfaith Alliance Opposes the Antisemitism Awareness Act (AAA)
On April 29th, Interfaith Alliance joined our colleagues at over 30 other organizations across civil society in opposing the Antisemitism Awareness Act (AAA). By giving the federal government the power to withhold funding from organizations who run afoul of a particular definition of antisemitism, the AAA would needlessly stifle political free speech and empower the administration’s repressive agenda.

Rally for Patients’ Rights: A Day at the Supreme Court
On April 2nd, I joined Policy Intern Jeffrey Jordan and Policy and Advocacy Associate Tranée McDonald at the “Rally for Patient’s Rights” outside of the Supreme Court. That week, SCOTUS was hearing arguments on whether Medicaid patients would retain their right to choose their healthcare provider, stemming from South Carolina’s attempt to defund Planned Parenthood. The case, which began in 2018 when South Carolina’s governor barred Planned Parenthood of South Atlantic from providing Medicaid-funded services, threatens not only Planned Parenthood’s operations but could also reshape how states control access to healthcare.

New Interfaith Alliance Memo Details Trump Admin’s Attacks on Faith Communities
Trump announced at the National Prayer Prayer Breakfast an EO on countering ‘anti Christian bias,’ yet Interfaith Alliance is calling out the Trump administration for “incendiary and unprecedented attacks on faith communities”.
